Our Story
Louis and Antionette Edmond married in Southhampton county Virginia in 1882. The decendents of thier six children have been holding annually family reunions since 1975. Attendance is normally between 150 and 200 people. At each reunion, we collect funds to provide scholarships to those family members who will be attending college because education has always been a core value of ours. However, we recognize that there are many in our country who face tremendous barriers that prevent them from achieving a quality education. Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". With this is mind, we desire to empower individuals and communities with the resources to break down those barriers.
